Reading the chart
| Mark | Meaning |
|---|---|
| HH / HL / LH / LL | Confirmed swing points. Higher highs + higher lows = uptrend; lower highs + lower lows = downtrend. A swing confirms a few bars after the pivot forms (see repainting). |
| BOS (solid line) | Break of Structure — price closed beyond the last swing in the trend's direction. Continuation. |
| CHoCH (dashed line) | Change of Character — price closed beyond structure against the current trend for the first time. Early reversal warning; flips the bias. |
| OB zone | Order block — the last opposite candle before a structure break. Removed automatically when price closes through it. |
| FVG zone | Fair value gap — a 3-candle imbalance, size-filtered by ATR. Removed when price fills it. Overlapping OB + FVG merge into one OB+FVG zone. |
| Bearish/Bullish divergence (dotted line) | Price and RSI disagree at consecutive swings — momentum is thinning. Confirms together with the swing pivot. |
| Session boxes | Sydney / Tokyo / London / New York ranges (UTC times, configurable). |
| Trend dashboard | Structure bias + EMA-cross trend on 5 timeframes + Alignment (how many agree). Bottom-right by default. |
Settings
Structure
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Swing Sensitivity | 5 | Pivot lookback per side. Higher = fewer, more significant swings (and later confirmation). Scalpers often use 3–5; swing traders 8–10. |
Display
Toggles for swing labels, BOS lines, CHoCH lines — and on Ultimate, the brand watermark.
Divergence Premium + Ultimate
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Show RSI Divergence | on | Regular divergence at confirmed swings (price HH + RSI LH = bearish; price LL + RSI HL = bullish). |
| RSI Length | 14 | RSI period used for comparison. |
| Include Hidden Divergence | off | Adds continuation-type divergence (price LH + RSI HH, price HL + RSI LL). |
Sessions
Per-session toggle, time window (UTC) and color. Defaults: Sydney 21:00–06:00, Tokyo 00:00–09:00, London 07:00–16:00, New York 13:00–22:00.
Order Blocks & FVG Premium + Ultimate
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| FVG Min Size (×ATR) | 0.5 | Filters small gaps. Raise it to show only meaningful imbalances; 0 shows all. |
| Zone Extend (bars) | 20 | How far zones project to the right. |
| Max zones per type | 8 | Oldest zone is dropped beyond this count — keeps charts clean. |
Trend Dashboard Premium + Ultimate
EMA fast/slow (21/50), five configurable timeframes, position (bottom-right default) and size (Small / Normal / Large). Note: higher-timeframe values update intrabar until that timeframe's bar closes — this is how multi-timeframe data works, on every tool.
Signals Ultimate
A BUY prints only when all four conditions meet on a closed bar:
- Structure bias is bullish (last break was a bullish BOS/CHoCH).
- Price pulled back into a live bull OB/FVG zone (the zone must be at least 2 bars old — the break bar itself can't trigger).
- The bar closed back above the zone with a bullish candle (rejection).
- At least Min MTF alignment of the 5 dashboard timeframes agree (default 3; a signal with 4+ is graded A+).
SELL is the mirror image. Each zone signals at most once.
| Input | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Min MTF alignment (of 5) | 3 | Raise to 4 for fewer, stronger signals. |
| Take-profit R multiple | 2.0 | TP distance = R × risk (entry to SL). SL sits at the far edge of the zone. |
| Show Entry / SL / TP lines | on | Draws the shaded risk (red) and reward (teal) bands with price labels. |
| Signal Label Size | Large | Normal / Large / Huge. |
| Remove signals that got stopped out | on | Chart-cleanup option: erases a signal's drawings when price hits its SL. Signals that reach TP always stay. Turn it off to keep every signal on the chart — the more transparent view. Our public track record on X always includes losses either way. |
Alerts
- On the chart, click the ⏰ Alert button (or press
A). - Condition → choose the Elephant Forex indicator → pick an event: BOS / CHoCH (each direction), Divergence (Premium+), or BUY / SELL signal (Ultimate).
- Set "Once per bar close" (recommended — matches how the tools confirm), name it, and choose notification: app push, email, or webhook.
- Repeat per symbol you trade. Alerts run on TradingView's servers — your device can be off.
Troubleshooting
"Does it repaint?"
Swing points confirm Swing Sensitivity bars after the pivot forms — that is inherent to pivot detection, on every tool that uses it, and we say so plainly. Once a BOS/CHoCH label prints on a closed bar it stays. Ultimate's BUY/SELL signals evaluate on closed bars only. The MTF dashboard reads higher timeframes, which update until their own bar closes.
"I subscribed but don't see the script."
Check Indicators → Invite-only scripts. If it's not there a few hours after sending your TradingView username, email us — the most common cause is a typo in the username.
"No session boxes on my chart."
Session boxes draw on intraday timeframes only (they're meaningless on daily+). Check the chart timeframe.
"Too many / too few zones or signals."
Raise FVG Min Size and Swing Sensitivity for calmer charts; raise Min MTF alignment to 4 for stricter signals. Lower them for more activity.
